We’re pleased to report that our website unstoppabledomains.com and communications from @unstoppabledomains.com are secure and fully operational.

What Happened:

Last week, our DNS provider, Squarespace, experienced a compromise as a result of the migration from Google Domains, affecting many companies.. This issue was isolated to DNS settings (like our domain name and email DNS records) on Squarespace and did not impact Unstoppable Domains’ core services. Importantly, our backend services, smart contracts, and critical infrastructure were unaffected, ensuring your data remains completely safe. No user data leaks or account compromises occurred, reaffirming our commitment to your security.

Safety Measures Implemented:

When Squarespace experienced a security hack, we took immediate and comprehensive measures to ensure the safety and security of our users. We placed Unstoppabledomains.com in maintenance mode to conduct thorough security checks.

In addition, we were actively engaged in a Telegram community alongside others impacted, offering support and sharing insights to help everyone impacted.

Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to review and because our backend was completely secure, no data was compromised and our users' information remained secure.

Additionally, we reached out to partners who sell our domains to rotate API keys out of an abundance of caution.

We Are Moving Our .Com to Unstoppable as a Registrar:

Traditional DNS registrars like Squarespace can face security challenges if the provider is compromised. After we finalize  ICANN approval for our own registrar license, we plan to transfer and tokenize unstoppabledomains.com within our own system. This means we won't need to rely on third-party providers anymore. We expect this transition to occur within the next month.

Just like any other domain purchased at Unstoppable Domains, once unstoppabledomains.com is tokenized and onchain, any changes to DNS records or domain transfers will require a wallet signature. This will make our domain more secure, functional, and better protected against attacks than ever before.

What Action You Should Take:

No action is required from you at this time. However, as a best practice to enhance account security, we recommend that everyone turn on two-factor authentication (2FA).

To further secure your online presence, consider getting your .com domains through Unstoppable in the future. Tokenizing your domains with us can provide an extra layer of security and reliability, helping you avoid similar issues and ensuring your domains are better protected.
